Bhai Mohan Singh can be called as the doyen of pharmaceutical industry in India. He is the founder of pharmaceutical giant Ranbaxy Laboratories Ltd. India’s first Multi National Company. Bhai Mohan Singh was awarded the Padma Shri for his contribution in civic matters. For his contribution to the industrial development in India, the Punjab Goverment had named an Industrial Township near Ropar after Bhai Mohan Singh. As Vice-President, he actively participated in the development of leading business school “Institute of Management Technology-Ghaziabad”.
He visualized that the Institute should function at national level and diversify its activities to provide training and research in Management with appropriate interface with industries. This vision has been catapulted by the Promoters of Doon College. It would not be out place to mention that Shri R. Kasturi Naidu, one of the Promoters of Doon College has worked with Bhai Mohan Singh in the establishment and growth of IMT-Ghaziabad as Treasurer. He too visualize to function at national level and aims to diversify DCM’s activities to provide Training and Research in Management, Computer Applications, Information Technology, Mass Communication, Clinical Research and other emerging areas in the following years.
